TRADITION, REIMAGINED.
My family’s classic Italian American culture and my lifestyle as a fitness trainer can definitely be challenging. YET i love both of them!
Add parenting teen athletes with less than enough time to THE MIX…HOW DO I keep everything togetheR???
well let’s just say I’ve learned some things.
In reimagining my beloved family roots, I share what I’ve learned from my Brooklyn meets Southern California experiences.
In a world where fitness and wellness usually means starving yourself (or at the very least giving up pasta) I do the unthinkable. I eat the foods I grew up on. although I moved three-thousand miles away from NYC, I have A deep appreciation for strong family tradition.
I started my fitness business in downtown New York City. I worked with some of the best fitness professionals in that awesome city I once called home. My mentors and teachers at Printing House Fitness (now Equinox) were amazing. My first certification was with National Academy of Sports Medicine; I added USA boxing and TRX Suspension Training. I practiced Muay Thai in my spare time. Upon moving to the West Coast, I took time off to start a family. I am the mom of twins WHICH HAD ME MULTI-TASKING TO THE MAXX FROM THE MOMENT THEY WERE BORN.
FACT: I learned to cook from my mom and grandparents.
ANOTHER FACT: I learned about fitness from my dad (NYC FIREFIGHTER AND AMATEUR BODY BUILDER)
